Inauguration Of Lokarajya Reader’s Campaign

Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Maharashtra State and Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Marathi Vangmay Mandal jointly organized Inauguration ceremony of Lokrajya Reader’s Campaign on 12/9/2018 in seminar Hall of B.C.T. College of Law, New Panvel. Lokrajya is a monthly magazine published by Maharashtra State and same is very useful for various competitive examinations conducted by MPSC.

Hon’ble Shri. Prashant Thakur, MLA, Panvel & President of CIDCO was the Chief Guest of this function and Dr. Shri. Ganesh Mule, Divisional Dy. Director (Information), Konkan Division was the Guest of Honour.

The dignitaries garlanded the photo frames of goddess Saraswati, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Late Shri. Changu Kana Thakur, Late Smt. Bhagubai Changu Thakur and Late Shri. Janardan Bhagat and the campaign was inaugurated with the lightening of the lamp by the Chief Guest Shri. Prashant Thakur and Guest of Honour Dr. Shri. Ganesh Mule.

In the welcome address, the Principal Dr. Shitala Gavand introduced the dignitaries and explained the importance of the event and contended that the this Lokrajya reader’s campaign would help the students to acquire new avenues of knowledge. Taking the opportunity of this programme, Hon’ble Shri. Prashant Thakur Saheb was also felicitated on behalf of B.C.T. College of Law for his appointment as the Chairman of CIDCO.

At this event, the special edition of Lokrajya Magazine titled “Samarthya Shikshanache Samruddha Maharashtrache” was unveiled by the Chief Guest Shri. Prashant Thakur. While addressing the audience he said that for the enrichment of our experience, reading habit is very important. Acknowledging his father Shri. Ramsheth Thakur Saheb, he gave all credit of his reading habit to his father. He further said that the term ‘vachal tar vachal’ is very meaningful and significant. He praised the magazine Lokrajya and call upon everybody to read the said magazine published by State Government which is very informative and available at a very low price. He gave his best wishes to Lokarajya Reader’s Campaign.

Dr. Shri. Ganesh Mule, Guest of Honour explained the initiative taken by the Government through Directorate of Information for providing valuable information about activities of State Government to the public through this magazine. As this magazine is published by the Government, the information therein is authenticated and reliable.

Dr.  Shri. Milind Dusane, District Information Officer, gave power point presentation in respect of Lokrajya Reader’s Campaign and explained the importance of said magazine for getting knowledge about current affairs and various schemes of the Government with special reference to its utility from the point of view of preparation for MPSC examinations.

Om Totwad (last year law student) hosted the programme and he proposed the vote of thanks at the end. The programme was concluded with the national anthem.
