Recognizing the importance of fire safety knowledge, the NSS unit of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law organized a comprehensive Fire Safety Awareness Program for its volunteers on 5th March 2024. The program aimed to equip volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent fire hazards and respond effectively in case of emergencies.
The program was conducted under the guidance of I/C Principal Mrs. Sanavi A. Deshmukh and Mr. Raghav Sharma, NSS Program Officer. Dr. Kranti Bhovate and Asst. Prof. Aparajita Gupta served as the lead presenters, delivering informative sessions on various aspects of fire safety.
The awareness program covered common causes of fire outbreaks and highlighted preventative measures such as proper electrical wiring maintenance, safe handling of flammable materials, and regular fire extinguisher checks.
Volunteers received information on the proper use of different types of fire extinguishers. The Fire Safety Awareness Program empowered NSS volunteers with valuable knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to Identify and mitigate potential fire hazards, Operate fire extinguishers safely and effectively and raise awareness about fire safety among their peers and the wider community.
The NSS Fire Safety Awareness Program at Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law proved to be a valuable learning experience for the volunteers. The program’s success highlights the college’s commitment to providing its students with essential life skills and fostering a culture of safety and preparedness.
