Celebration of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti

The Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, reverberated with the valor and spirit of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of his Jayanti celebration. The event commenced with a heartfelt felicitation of Shivaji Maharaj’s statue by all staff members, paying homage to the great warrior king. A captivating performance by the talented Saee Mane showcased the artistry of Lathi-Kathi, dand patta, and talvaar baji, captivating the audience’s attention.
Serving as the hosts for the evening were Mast. Sahil Hemant Mhatre, the Cultural Secretary of the college, and Miss Samruddhi Vijay Kochale.
The program commenced with a poignant speech delivered by Miss Shravani Karande, shedding light on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This was followed by a melodious rendition of a beautiful song (Palana) by Miss Shrawani Mokal and Miss Rajnandini, setting the tone for the evening.
Mast. Tushar Deshmukh enraptured the audience with his insightful speech on Shivaji Maharaj. Remembering the indomitable spirit of Maa Saheb Jijau, Miss Samruddhi Kochale presented a touching poem in her honor.
The spirit of valor was further celebrated with a powerful Powada on the great Sardaar of Swarajya, Subhedaar Tanaji Malusare, sung by Mast. Karan Malusare and Miss Diksha Pailkar.Mast. Sahil Hemant Mhatre’s efforts to elucidate the significance of the Battle of Pratapgad added a memorable dimension to the event.
Celebrating academic excellence, Mast. Rohit Patil, who secured the 2nd rank at Pune in a state-level elocution competition, delivered his winning elocution on this auspicious occasion.
The program culminated with a soul-stirring rendition of ‘Shiv Stuti’, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Anamika, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees for making the event a resounding success.
The celebration of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti at Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law was a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of one of India’s greatest warriors, inspiring all present to uphold his ideals of courage, resilience, and righteousness.
