On the occasion of Republic Day, National Day Celebration Committee in the collaboration of under the guidance of in-charge principal of Bhagubai changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel Mrs. Sanavi A. Deshmukh ma’am on dated 26th Jan,2024.
Ms. Prerana Gaikwad (4th year BLS LL.B.) student, skilfully hosted the program The success of the event was also attributed to the dedication of Asst. Prof. Dhanashri Y. Kadam (BLS LL.B. Co-ordinator) & Asst. Prof. Sagar S. Devghare and active participation of student volunteers namely Mr. Parth Nazare, Mr. Sandeep Singh, and Ms. Chaitali Kane played crucial roles in ensuring the smooth execution of various aspects of the celebration. The beautiful rangoli were portrayed by the students naming Ms. Kamini Patil & Ms. Sharvani Mokal.
The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest, Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur, who conducted the flag hoisting ceremony and addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of Republic Day and the values it symbolizes.
The celebration commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Assistant Professor Sagar Devghare, who set the tone for the day and highlighted the significance of the occasion. Mrs. Sanavi A. Deshmukh (I/C Principal), shared her insightful views on the importance of Republic Day, emphasizing the principles of justice, equality, and liberty enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The presence of all the respected professors added a sense of unity and camaraderie to the event.
The cultural segment of the celebration featured a mesmerizing Indian classical dance performance by Ms. Pranita Waghmare (B.A. LL.B. student), a patriotic song by Mr. Raghunath Rupwate and Mr. Sachin Sonavane, both 3rd-year LL.B. students, who showcased their musical talent and left the audience inspired.
The ‘vote of thanks’ presented by Ms. Apoorva Jadhav, who expressed gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers for their collective efforts in making the Republic Day celebration a memorable and patriotic event.
