Survey and Awareness Program on Basic Human Rights Education at Wakadi, Nere

The NSS and DLLE Unit of the College with an intention to collect the data about Basic Human Rights Education among residents of Wakadi, Nere Village and provide them with a brief awareness about the Basic Human Rights available to them. The College organized the survey and awareness program on 18-12-2023, under the guidance of I/c Principal Mrs.Sanvi Deshmukh Ma’am by Asst. Prof. Raghav Sharma, Dr. Mamta Goswami, Asst. Prof. Ravnish Bector and Dr. Kranti Bhovate.

Survey

The survey started with making teams among the students and dispersing them in teams with respective faculties for data collection in both online and offline mode. The survey form contained various easy to answer fields and a dropbox for uploading photo of the respondents. Total responses collected over more than 1 hour was 94 in number.

Awareness Program

The Program started with a introductory and welcome speech about the program by Ms. Mrunal Patekar student of 2nd year BLS LL.B as the host for the session after the introduction Mr. Sudip Gholap student of 2nd year LL.B briefed the attendees about The Basic Human Rights and the procedure for complaint and redressal in case of violation of Human Rights in India. Ms. Shrusti Kamble student of 1st year LL.B thereafter was invited to speak with the students where she guided them about the importance of Human Rights and Fundamental Rights. Assistant Professor Dr. Kranti Bhovate also interacted with the students and informed them about the scope of Human Rights and Basic Human Rights under The Indian Constitution and how the Janardhan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law can help them accessing and ensure their Basic Human Rights.

Lastly Dr. Kranti Bhovate expressed gratitude towards Nere Secondary and High School, Principal M. Dhotre and all the respected teachers.

The program proved to be a great success and a positive start for both NSS and DLLE Unit of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel.
