The Women development cell organized an awareness lecture on “Empowering Women : Navigating the digital landscape safety- A cybercrime Awareness and installation of NIRBHAYA box” held on November 25, 2023, at Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law , New Panvel provided a valuable opportunity for aspiring lawyers to gain insights into the cybercrime, types of cyber Crime , and steps individuals can take to prevent it . The event was organized and conducted seamlessly, adhering to a well-structured program.
Program Highlights:
The event commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem, a patriotic start that set the tone for the seminar. Following the National Anthem, a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony symbolized the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge. Portraits of eminent figures i.e. Saraswati Maa, late shri Janardhan bhagt saheb, late Matoshri Bhagubai changu thakur, late shri changu kana thakur saheb were garlanded, showing respect for their contributions to the field of education.
The programme is hosted by Amina Hashim LL. B 2nd Year student. Assistant Professor Miss. Bhagyashri Kamble welcomed the guest by providing valuable context about Mr. Chandrakant Landge sir ( Senior Police Inspector), Dr. Vishal Mane ( Assistant Police Inspector), Mr. Sharad Barkade ( Assistant Police Inspector) , Mr. Sameer Chasker ( Assistant Police Inspector) , Mr. Sudarshan Sarang ( Cyber Crime In charge) for their presence at the event . She also extended a warm welcome to all attendees, emphasizing the importance of the event.
Co-host Shravani BA. LLB 1st year student introduced all the guests and Mrs. Sanavi Deshmukh, Principal of B.C.T Law college welcomed the guests with a sampling. Dias was handed over to 1st speaker Chandrakant sir . He emphasised the need of Cyber security and awareness program. After that Mr. Sudarshan Sarang delivered an Informative lecture, shedding light on the topic related to cyber Crime . He covered essential topics such as types of cyber crime and what is digital safety. Dr. Vishal Mane covered the topic of how to prevent it and highlighted the point of individual safety. Mr. Sharad Barkade talked about Navigating the digital landscape safety.
The Principal addressed all the audience about the importance of cyber crime awareness program and the importance of NIRBHAYA BOX. She expressed her gratitude towards the guest for their information and support.
Nirbhaya box was installed in the presence of guest of honour i.e., Chandrakant sir , Vishal sir , Sharad sir, Sameer sir , Sudarshan sir and Principal Sanavi Deshmukh along with Asst. Prof. Bhagyashri Kamble.
Co- Host expressed gratitude to all the guest , professor’s , admin staff, participants, volunteers emphasizing the significance of their contributions to the event’s success. The event concluded with a spirited rendition of the National Song, fostering a sense of patriotism.
