The excursion committee of JBSP’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel organized a two days academic to Alibaug under the guidance of the in-charge principal of JBSP’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel Mrs. Sanavi deshmukh ma’am dated/on 07-11-23 and 08-11-23.

A mixed batch of 48 students from BA.LLB, LL.B and LL.M. accompanied with 5 staff members including Ms. Aparajita Gupta, Mr. Sagar Devghare, Mrs. Kranti Bhovate, Ms. Janhavi Bhoir, and Mr. Ujjwal Patil attended the trip.

The first day commenced by departing from the college on a bus with full enthusiasm. Then a half-hour halt was taken on the way for breakfast and we reached our destination Shayyadri Hotel, Alibaug at 2:00 pm. The rooms were allotted to all the students on a quadrant-sharing basis and then an authentic Indian meal was served. Thereafter, everyone had a relaxing fun time at the hotel premises including the swimming pool and garden time. In the evening, the group enjoyed leisure time on the pristine Alibaug beach and at night, a bonfire and music system were arranged for the students and a delicious dinner was served which provided an enriching experience.

On the second day, the highlight of the trip was the visit to Alibaug jail. This experience was carefully curated to provide students with an understanding of the legal system and the rehabilitative efforts being undertaken in correctional facilities. Following the jail visit, the group went to Revdanda fort which provided a deeper insight into the history of the region. The trip was concluded with the Birla Mandir Visit which allowed students to appreciate the cultural heritage of Alibaug. Post-trip feedback was collected from the participating students.

The 2-day trip to Alibaug was a resounding success, providing our students with a unique blend of educational and recreational experiences. The excursion committee is grateful for the support and cooperation received from all in making this trip a memorable one.
