SWACHHTA HI SEWA ABHIYAN

On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary under Swachhata hi Sewa abhiyan, the NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel actively participated in the Ek October Ek Ghanta Ek Saath Swachhata hi Sewa abhiyan organized by the Panvel Municipal Corporation. This event was held with the aim of promoting cleanliness and paying tribute to the Father of the Nation’s ideals of cleanliness and hygiene.

The event was led by NSS Program Officer, Dr. Kranti Bhovate ma’am under the guidance of I/C Principal Mrs. Sanavi Deshmukh Ma’am. The NSS volunteers enthusiastically joined the initiative, namely Prerana Pramod Gaikwad, Disha Vijay Dhone, Vivek Dnyanashwar Jadhao, Aryan Abhijit Ghag, Ajay Shivaji Hirave.

The primary activity of the day was a “Samuhik Shramdaan” named as “Swachhanjali.” The volunteers, along with the support of the local community and administration authorities undertook the task of cleaning the surrounding area of Khandeshwar Shiv Mandir, Panvel and the adjacent area around the lake.

The participation of the NSS volunteers was marked by dedication and enthusiasm. They actively engaged in cleaning the premises, picking up litter etc. Their efforts were not only a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi but also a demonstration of their commitment to environmental cleanliness and community welfare.

The participation of NSS volunteers from Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law was a resounding success. The volunteers not only contributed to the cleanliness drive but also left a positive impact on the local community. Such initiatives play a vital role in fostering civic responsibility and spreading the message of cleanliness and hygiene, aligning perfectly with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for a cleaner and healthier India.
