On 30th of September 2023, Panvel Municipal Corporation , under the banner of “Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan” organized Seminar on Climate Change Literacy in collaboration with JBSPS’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel’s DLLE Committee.
The Seminar began at 11:30 a.m. with a welcome note from the host, Ms. Chaitrali Kane, 3rd. Yr. BLS LL.B. student, singing of the National Anthem, lighting of lamp and garlanding the photographs of JBSPS’s Hon’ble late Janardan Bhagat, Hon’ble late Changu Kana Thakur and Hon’ble late Bhagubai Changu Thakur.
The Co-host Ms. Avantika Gavand, 3rd. Yr. BLS LL.B. student, introduced the speakers of the Seminar, Miss Shraddha Singh, Social Worker, President, Serve with Shraddha NGO and Mr. Ayuf Akula, IEC Consultant Panvel Municipal Corporation, President, Infinity Foundation.
She also introduced our newly appointed I/c Principal, Hon’ble Mrs. Sanavi Deshmukh Ma’am.
The guests were felicitated by Hon’ble Principal Ma’am and Asst. Professor Sagar Devghare. Hon’ble Principal Ma’am was felicitated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mamta Goswami.
There was an introductory note on the Seminar by the host, after that the Seminar was initiated by the first speaker, Miss Shraddha Singh followed by the second speaker, Mr. Ayuf Akula. Both the sessions kept the audience enthralled as they listened with deep concentration and could connect themselves with the examples cited by the speakers. The seminar was attended by a large gathering of students from BLLS, LL.B. and LL.B. as well.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the co-host, oath taking ceremony by the speakers and audience to keep the environment clean and to contribute at individual level by taking small steps towards preventing climate change in the environment and lastly the Seminar ended by singing of the National Song.
