International Women’s Day 2023

On the eve of the International Women’s day , this year on 8th March 2023, JBSPS’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law observed and venerated International Women’s day , Women’s Day also marks a call for a gender-equal world that is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination and is diverse, equitable, and inclusive while differences are valued and celebrated. The special session was organised by the Women development cell in collaboration with IQAC of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College Of Law , New Panvel , and was convened 10.45 AM, by the In-Charge Principal, Mrs. Dhanashri Kadam, and was attended by the law faculty members and law students from B.L.S LL.B. , LL.B. and LL.M. streams, in wholehearted participation.

The session started by the host Ms. Bhakti Shinde , opening the floor by singing the National Anthem first, which was followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest Mr. Sagar Gavasne sir, Assistant Police Inspector and Mr. Niraj Deepak Dabade , Police Amaldar and cyber expert ,Mrs. Dhanashri Yogesh Kadam In-Charge Principal and Asst. prof. Himanshu Arvind More, IQAC in charge Professor and Asst. prof. Ravnish Bector, Exam Committee Incharge. Every faculty member, including the In-Charge Principal, proceeded to pay their homage and reverence by offering an august tribute of flowers to the stately portrait of Late Shree. Janardhan Bhagat Saheb, late Shree. Changu Kana Thakur Saheb , and Late . Shrimati . Bhagubai Changu Thakur. The session progressed further, with the felicitation of chief guest by memento , shwal and shrifal . After that the Introduction of chief guest were given by co – host Ms. Prerana Gaikwad. The dice were handed over to the chief guest to address the students on the occasion of Women’s day on the topic “Cyber crime and Women” under the theme digit all : Innovation and Technology for gender equality.
After a marvellous, full of knowledge and enlightening session the event come to an end with a splendidly vote of thanks which was presented by Ms. Prerana Gaikwad student of 3rd year BLS. LL.B., finally concluded by singing of the National Song.

The session was splendidly conducted by the student representatives of the College, in commendable tenor.
