Seminar on Topic “Moot Court – Advocacy An Art”

BCT College of Law, New Panvel on 19th April 2022 had organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Moot Court – Advocacy An Art” in the Seminar Hall of the College. Adv. Shreekant Vitthal Gavand, Addl. Public Prosecutor, High Court, Bombay delivered the lecture on the topic. He was welcomed and felicitated by Asst. Prof. Ravnish Bector. The response of the students for this lecture was awesome.

While addressing the full packed seminar hall, he explained the concept of the moot court and guided the students regarding preparation for moot court. He also narrated the importance of doing research of case laws related to the topic. He pointed out importance of drafting and as how good drafting helps for effective oral submission. While guiding the students for improving advocacy skill, he called upon the students to participate in extra-curricular activities for overcoming the stage-fear. He further pointed out that for being good advocate, it is absolutely necessary to study subjects in law curriculum with full sincerity and devotion. He asked the students to observe court proceedings as and when possible for getting acquaint with the court practice as observations made by us in Court is the best guiding factor. During question answer session he satisfied doubts of the students. Asst. Professor Bhagyashree Patil hosted the programme. The programme started with national anthem and concluded with national song Vande Mataram.
