Under the guidance of Shri. Ramsheth Thakur, Chairman, Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha and Shri. Y. T. Deshmukh, Vice Chairman, Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, organized 4th Late Shri. Janardan Bhagat Memorial Lecture Series. Dr. Mrs. Shitala S. Gavand, Principal, took initiative for organizing this Lecture Series.
Today, on concluding day of the Lecture Series, the Programme began with National Anthem. Third Lecture in the series was delivered by Hon’ble Chief Guest, Shri Sudeep R. Pasbola, Senior Counsel, High Court, Bombay, Ex- Vice Chairman, Bar Council of Maharashtra And Goa. Today, on concluding day of the lecture series, Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur, Member of Executive Committee, Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha and Adv. Shreekant Vithhal Gavand, Asst. Government Pleader & Addl. Public Prosecutor, High Court, Bombay, showed their precious presence for the lecture. Due to Corona Virus pandemic, this Webinar series is conducted online on Zoom app and simultaneously telecasted live on YouTube.
Miss Krupa Naik, (Assistant Professor, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel), delivered welcome address and introduced the Chief Guest for today’s lecture. Thereafter, by Hon’ble Chief Guest, Shri Sudeep R. Pasbola, Senior Counsel, High Court, Bombay, Ex- Vice Chairman, Bar Council of Maharashtra And Goa, delivered lecture on the topic “OVERVIEW OF CRIMINAL TRIALS” and imparted in-depth knowledge on the topic, enlightened participants with various aspects of criminal trials, various rules related to criminal trials, discussed various landmark judgments on the topic and with various aspects related thereto.
At the end of the lecture Hon’ble Chief Guest, in question-answer session gave answers and solved queries of the participants. Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur, Member of Executive Committee, Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha, expressed concluding remarks at the end of lecture series and expressed vote of thanks to Hon’ble Chief Guest for today’s lecture, for an enlightening session.
The entire lecture was hosted by Mr. Suyash Bartake (Secretary, Moot Court Association) and at the conclusion of the Lecture Series Dr. Mrs. Shitala S. Gavand, Principal, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel, proposed elaborate vote of thanks. Student coordinators Mr. Faizan Shaikh recorded his active participation for smooth execution of the lecture series. The Programme ended with national song Vande Mataram.
