Lecture by Hon’ble Chief Guest Ms. Mrunalini Deshmukh, Advocate, High Court Bombay.
Department of Law, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra State University; Department of Law, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Uttar Pradesh State University and J.B.S.P. Sanstha’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel, Raigad, jointly organized Legal Aid Awareness Programme for Academic Year 2021-22, “LAW AT YOUR DOORSTEP”.
Today, on the 3rd day of the Webinar series, the programme began with National Anthem. The Third lecture in the series was delivered by Hon’ble Ms. Mrunalini Deshmukh, Advocate, High Court, Bombay. Due to Corona Virus pandemic, this Webinar series is conducted online on Zoom app and simultaneously telecasted live on YouTube channel of University of Mumbai.
Dr. Ranjan Kumar, Professor, Head and Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapth, Varanasi, proposed Welcome Address and Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand, Principal, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel, introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest Hon’ble Ms. Mrunalini Deshmukh, Advocate, High Court, Bombay, delivered lecture on the topic “DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT” and imparted in-depth knowledge on the topic, enlightened participants with various cases and shared her personal experience and covered various aspects related thereto.
At the end of the lecture Hon’ble Chief Guest, in question-answer session gave answers and solved queries of the participants. Thereafter, Adv. Sudeep Pasbola, Senior Advocate, High Court, Bombay and Hon’ble Vice Chairman, Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, delivered concluding remarks.
The entire lecture was hosted by Mr. Suyash Bartake (Student of 5th year BLS, LLB) and at the conclusion of the third day of Webinar Series Miss. Krupa Naik, Assistant Professor, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel, proposed vote of thanks. The Programme ended with national song Vande Mataram.
