Webinar Series- From 01.08.2021 to 04.08.2021
Day-2, 02.08.2021, Monday
Department of Law, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra State University; Department of Law, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Uttar Pradesh State University and J.B.S.P. Sanstha’s Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel, Raigad, jointly organized Legal Aid Awareness Programme for Academic Year 2021-22, “LAW AT YOUR DOORSTEP”.
The 2nd day of the Webinar series, the programme began with National Anthem. The second lecture in the series was delivered by Hon’ble Shri Uday B. Wavikar, Advocate, Supreme Court of India. Due to Corona Virus pandemic, this Webinar series is conducted online on Zoom app and simultaneously telecasted live on YouTube channel of University of Mumbai.
Dr. Mr. Sanjay Jadhav, Assistant Professor, Law Department, University of Mumbai, delivered Welcome Address and Dr. Mrs. Rajeshree Varhadi, Professor and Head of Department, Department of Law, University of Mumbai, delivered Introductory Speech and introduced the topic for today’s lecture to all the participants. Thereafter, Miss Priyanka Unde, Assistant Professor, Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri. Uday B. Wavikar, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, delivered lecture on the topic “SIGNIFICANCE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT” and imparted in-depth knowledge on the topic and explained significance of Consumer Protection Law in our day to day life and covered various aspects related thereto.
Thereafter, Hon’ble Shri Ramesh Gandhi, Former Chief Judge, Small Causes Court, Mumbai, delivered concluding remarks and at the end of the lecture, Hon’ble Chief Guest, in question-answer session gave answers and solved queries raised by various participants.
Mr. Suyash Bartake (Student of 5th year BLS, LLB) hosted the entire event and at the end of the second day of Webinar Series Dr. Mrs. Alka Patil, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, University of Mumbai, proposed vote of thanks. The Programme ended with national song Vande Mataram.
