Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel had organized “Lecture on Library Orientation” for the students of LL.B. (3 Yrs.) Course & B.L.S, LL.B. (5 Yrs.) Course, on 28th & 29th July 2021 respectively. The Orientation was conducted by Librarian Mr. Hitesh Chhatani, MLISc (UGC-NET, MH-SET), BSc.IT & PGDLIM.
The main aim of this lecture was to provide information regarding variety of resources available in a library. The library is the reflection of the credentials of legal institution and library of BCT College of Law is one of the best law libraries.
Mr. Hitesh informs the different services provided by the Library. He gave information regarding the books, marathi books, periodicals, journal, news-papers etc. available in the library He explained the Coverage, Importance and Case Law Citation in a Journals like All India Reporter, Criminal Law Journal, Indian Bar Review etc.
With live demo, he explained various legal database software available in library and explained different Search parameters in Legal Database software’s viz. All India Reporter, DigiLaw, etc. at the end he also cleared doubts of the students in question answer session. The programme was conducted online through Microsoft Teams software.
