Special Lecture on “Moot Court”
Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel on 7th March 2021 had organized a Special Lecture on topic “Moot Court”. This lecture was organized on zoom app and it was simultaneously telecasted live on YouTube channel of the BCT College of Law. The Final Year Students are required to participate in Moot Courts as per University Syllabus of the subject ‘Practical Training IV. Due to ongoing corona pandemic the Final Year Moot Court exercise is to be conducted online and therefore for guiding the students Adv. Shreekant Vitthal Gavand, Addl. Public Prosecutor, High Court, Bombay delivered the lecture on the topic Moot Court. With lot of examples of court cases he explained various aspects involved in Moot Court viz. importance of proper research, manner of drafting and making oral submissions and at the end he gave answers to the questions of the students in question answer sessions. The programme started with National Anthem and ended with national song Vande Mataram. Moot Court Secretary Shri. Suyash Bartake, 4th Yr. BLS, LLB. gave welcome address and also hosted the programme Inspite of being Sunday, this lecture was attended by large number of students
