Workshop on Self Defense & Legal Awareness by Department Of Law, University of Mumbai & Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel

 On 18th January, 2020, Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s, Bhagubai Changu Thakur college of Law in collaboration with University of Mumbai had organized one day workshop on “Self Defense Program and Legal Awareness Program”.

Dr. Ms. Rajashree Varhadi Madam, Head of Dpt., Department of Law, University of Mumbai was the Chief Guest of the workshop. She was welcomed by Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand, Principal, BCT College of Law with bouquet, shawl, shrifal and memento. Hon’ble Chief Guest inaugurated the said workshop by lighting of the Lamp and thereafter delivered a motivational speech. She explained importance of participation in various competitions and activities which helps students to groom their personalities. With few case laws she also explained importance of spreading legal Awareness amongst common people.

Dr. Sanjay Jadhav, Asst. Professor, Department of Law,  University of Mumbai,  delivered a Lecture on the topic, “Consumer Protection Laws and New Dimensions” as a part of Legal Awareness program.

Mr. Shivaji Pawar, Instructor, Self Defense Program, taught various moves and tricks to girl students to defend themselves in case of any untoward incident. He shown various steps, whereby we can defend ourselves in case of emergency.

Mr. Suyash Bartake, 3rd yr. B.L.S., LL.B. and Mr. Rishikesh Patil, 4th yr. B.L.S., LL.B., hosted the whole program and the program concluded with vote of thanks. At the end tea was provided to all the participants.
