Bhagubai Changu College of Law, New Panvel organized an orientation program for the newly admitted BLS, LL.B. & LL.B. students in the Seminar Hall of the College on 8th November 2019. The programme was aimed at providing an insight to the students, of entire law curriculum and most particular detail information of the newly introduced 60:40 pattern by the Mumbai University.
Shri. Narayan Rajadhyaksha, Ex. Principal, New Law College, Mumbai addressed this orientation programme, which began with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand gave welcome address.
Hon’ble Shri. Prashant Ramsheth Thakur, MLA, Chairman, Cidco and Member, JBSP Sanstha was the Guest of Honour for this programme. He was felicitated and congratulated by Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand, Principal, BCT College of Law for being elected as Member of Legislative Assembly, Maharashtra, from 188, Panvel Assembly Constituency by record margin in Assembly Election 2019, with hat-trick Hon’ble Shri. Prashant Thakur also addressed the students and gave them best wishes for successful life.
The Chief Guest Dr. Narayan Rajadhyaksha briefly explained the curriculum of the law course with special reference to new 60:40 pattern and explained the importance of various law subjects. He said confidence is very important in this profession and to achieve self-confidence, it is necessary to improve communication skill, vocabulary, public speaking, body language and importantly listening skill. It is also necessary to participate in all activities, as it help to reduce stage fear. With lot of examples of eminent legal personalities, he explained importance of hard work. He also highlighted various carrier options, available after obtaining law degree.
