Independence Day – 2019

With great enthusiasm Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law celebrated Independence Day on 15/8/2019. In view of revocation of special status granted to State of Jammu & Kashmir vide Art. 370 of the Constitution of India, this Independence Day was very special for all the citizens of India. Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur graced the occasion by being the chief guest of the event. The NCC Cadets gave guard of honour to the Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur and after their parade; the Chief Guest hosted the Indian National Flag and every one present for the event, salute the National Flag and paid respect to the Nation with National Anthem.

The Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur was felicitated & introduced by Dr. Shitala Gavand and she expressed that it was really a proud moment that a successful business women who has given remarkable contribution for social welfare is present for this event as Chief Guest. While addressing the students Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand pointed out that one constitution and the uniform laws are now applicable to each and every state of India and hence this Independence Day is really special one for entire country.  While addressing the students the Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Paresh Thakur said that Unity in Diversity is the special feature of India, but still there was an exception because of special status given to the State of Jammu and Kashmir and now as the effect and operation of Art. 370 of the Constitution has been abolished by the present Government, the India’s concept of Unity in Diversity has been achieved completely in true sense.   

The students of the college with great enthusiasm gave some patriotic performances Viz. Pranali Chikne – Solo Song, Swati Khare – Speech, Sanchita Chimane – Poem,  Himanshu Singh – Shayari, Group Song – Madhuri Shelar, Sanchita Kardak, Sanchita Chimane Supriya Ghadge, Tejaswini Dhavale, Suman Mandal, Skit on Art 370 of Constitution – Rishikesh Patil, Faizan Shaikh, Rajashri Rane, Madhuri Shelar, Sanchita Kardak, Sanchita Chimane Supriya Ghadge, Tejaswini Dhavale, Suman Mandal, Zaid Shaikh

The Programme was hosted by Asst. Professor Ms. Shruti Pote and at the end she proposed vote of thanks. She expressed her gratitude towards Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Thakur. She also thanked Shri. Naik Sir and Chaugule Sir, Dr. Shri. Bhandare Sir and all the NCC cadets of CKT College for wonderful parade. The programme concluded with the national song Vande Mataram and Snacks and Tea was provided to all.
